SAVORING THE PAST
A Rich History In Food & Culture
Tijuana is the melting pot of Mexico.
It has one of the most diverse food cultures in the entire country.
From the heart of Tijuana, Mexico - Ralfy Quepons grew up hanging out at his dad's mechanics shop. Just outside the front of the shop was their humble taco stand - 'El Pilón'.

This is where the real action was.
In Mexico, taquerias are a staple of the community. It's where people go to get a bite while hanging out with friends and family. It's also where the local kids would go to chase their love interests and hang out with friends.

Taquerias are a place where dreamers dream and people inspire one another. Where people connect and build community.

From a modest taco stand in Tijuana to a beautiful high-ceilinged homage to Mexican pride, Rafelitos is building community and has become it's own pillar in the Alaskan food scene.
